RALEIGH (WPTF)-A demonstration against possible action in Iran happened
Friday outside the Federal building in Raleigh. Aaron Rubin, a memeber
of TrueMajority.org, has been from DC to Raleigh making stops along the
way to encourage people to go online and sign to keep the US out of a
war with Iran. "What this is all about is our campaign to stop the next war, this time on Iran. The campaign is called NotAnotherWar.org we are collecting petitions which would prevent George Bush and Dick Cheney from starting a war on Iran without specific and congressional approval." Rubin said that the response in North Carolina has been incredible. "You know Ive run into a lot of military folk, and they look at me and they go "Thumbs Up, you know I was in Iraq and Afghanistan, I know what you're talking about." I mean it amazed me, I was really surprised that overwhelmingly the military people I run into understand that we cant afford the 'next war'. The war on Iran." NotAnotherWar.org. plans to submit their signed petitions to Senator Elizabeth Dole next week. |
